روند توسعه مامبو

در این مورد در انجمن مامبو فاندیشن صحبتی شده بود که عینا همین مطلب رو اینجا قرار میدم :

Mambo isn't dead but code development is slower than we would like it to be. There are a number of reasons for this. It seems to be a trend across many open source projects these days that people come to the forums, ask questions and move on. It's rare to see people sticking around to help other users out. Consequently, the team end up spending time on the forums instead of writing new code.

We have a very large project being maintained by a small team. Having developers working on server admin, site management, forum responses, and responding to heaps of emails is a waste of development time. But when nobody else is doing this work, developers have to.

Mambo needs people to step up and help out but most people simply want a reliable CMS to use and don't appreciate that help is always needed and very much welcomed.

So, nowhere near dead, but definitely slowed down by the myriad tasks that have to be done, but which take time away from writing code. Luckily, Mambo 4.6.5 has no known vulnerabilities at this time which does give developers a little bit of breathing space. BUT, everyone wants to just be able to get stuck in to writing and getting the next release out.

If the community wants faster progress then the community is going to have to step up and help out. If anyone has programming skills, find an open task in the tracker and submit a patch. Or, use the tracker to submit code for new features you would like to see added - there are a number of requests on the tracker for feature requests or enhancements.

This is a collaborative project that anyone can help with - including non-programmers.

مامبو نسخه 4.7 حدود 1 سال پیش آماده شد، بعضی از دوستان این نسخه رو روی سیستم من دیدند ...
کارهای زیادی حتی روی نسخه 5 صورت گرفته.

اما همینطور که در بالا Lynne اشاره کرده مشکلات زیادی پیش اومده که این روند انتشار رو کند کرده...
از اونجایی که ما در تیم Core - Translation مامبو هستیم در این مورد حداکثر سعیمون رو میکنیم که انرژی رو در جهتی بذاریم تا در نهایت به اهدافی که داشتیم برسیم .

قبلا هم این جمله رو گفتم : هر موقع احساس کنیم مامبو ارزش وقت گذاشتن و یا فعالیت رو نداره از سبد سرویس های مامبولرن خارج میکنیم .
توجه داشته باشید در نسخه 4.6.5 با گذشت این مدت هنوز هیچ باگ امنیتی در اون منتشر نشده.

انشالله به زودی مامبو فارسی ، جوملا فارسی و اس ام اف فارسی را همزمان پشتیبانی خواهیم کرد.
