The QuickDown plugin affects site "content" when codes are inserted to link to the repository. An example of a code would be {quickdown:5} which would insert information about the file that has ID of 5 in the repository. You can see file ID numbers in the administrator file management option. There are numerous parameters for configuring QuickDown to present the information you want.
